May 2017 saw our first big group tour of the year – a week-long journey through north Albania and Kosovo. We were joined by Alexander Erb and his wife Anna, from Holland. Here are their thoughts on the trip.
“My wife Anna and myself are now back home after three weeks in Albania. The first week with Drive Albania was a unique experience and gave us an exceptional impression of the Albanian mountains. The organisation went smoothly, the drivers were professional and the hotels all perfect.
“Coming from Holland, a flat country where Land Rovers are not needed, I felt a little embarrassed when we climbed the first dirt road and thought by myself that you either had to be a experienced mountaineer or a very stubborn donkey, to try to attack that challenge. Of course, I was wrong. The drivers, full of concentration and a big smile on their faces had no problems with the hills and holes, the stones and other challenges and manoeuvred us safely to the next stop. Ardi, Nesti, Henri and Elona were a good team, helping each other when necessary and having a lot of fun together. I think about them as ‘The Brotherhood of the Albanian Asphalt Avoiders’.
“Again, many thanks for the trip you organised so well.”
